Position Overview

As a CNC Machinist at C.A. Picard, you'll be an integral part of our team, utilizing your expertise to operate CNC machinery with precision and efficiency. You'll work with state-of-the-art Mazak machines and MAZATROL controls, showcasing your mastery in machining techniques and problem-solving skills. Your role will involve working with challenging materials like powdered metal and hardened stainless steel, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC machinery, primarily Mazak machines, with MAZATROL controls.
• Machine various materials, including powdered metal and hardened stainless steel, to precise specifications.
• Perform machining operations such as turning, milling, and drilling, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Work with EDM equipment for specific tasks, leveraging your expertise to enhance production processes.
• Execute barrel relining operations with attention to detail and quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in operating Mazak machines and MAZATROL controls.
• Experience working with challenging materials such as powdered metal and hardened stainless steel.
• Familiarity with EDM equipment is a plus.
• Strong mathematical skills and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies and processes.
• Excellent multitasking abilities and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift.
