We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Plate Technology division as a Machine Operator for our Solid Table Surface Grinder. This is an excellent opportunity for long-term employment with a growing company that offers plenty of room for advancement.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain a Solid Table Surface Grinder to grind precision steel plates to exact specifications
- Follow established procedures and work instructions to ensure consistent quality
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain tight tolerances
- Measure workpieces using micrometers and other precision measuring instruments
- Perform regular cleaning and preventative maintenance on machines and work area
- Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- May be required to operate other grinding machines or assist with secondary operations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and technical drawings
- Strong mathematics skills with the ability to read micrometers and perform calculations
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and machine operations a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts, first or second (flexibility preferred)
